4 things to pay attention to after burns and scalds

      1. Avoid excessive friction and excessive activity: After the wound is formed, it is not advisable to exercise excessively, nor to massage for too long. This will cause the epidermis and the fiber lamella to separate and form blisters or blood blisters, excessive movement of the joints, and scars. The epidermis loosens and separates, causing blisters.

  2. Pay attention to skin cleansing and hygiene: When the burn wound is just healed, there are still a small amount of secretions and drug scabs, bacteria are easy to multiply quickly, and the skin is thin and tender, and the structure and function are not perfect, and infection and ulceration are easy to occur. During this period, normal saline can be used for cleaning and keep it dry after cleaning.

       3. Prevent scar formation and strengthen exercise: Scar prevention should start after the wound is healed. The healed wound can be coated with silicone gel-type scar hyperplasia drugs, combined with silicone gel dressings, external elastic bandages or elastic sleeves. Pressure, the treatment time will last for a period of time. After the wound is healed, the functional parts should be strengthened exercise to avoid scar contracture that affects limb activities.

       4. Lower extremity burns and scalds, it is not advisable to move on the ground prematurely: Because the scar epidermis is weak, and its underlying blood vessel structure and function are not perfect, it cannot resist the internal pressure of gravity. When standing, the lower extremity wound will become purple due to capillary rupture, or even Bleeding, which will aggravate scar hyperplasia. Generally, it is more suitable to go to the ground in about 3 months. It is better to use a pressure jacket to protect it before going to the ground, which can reduce scar congestion.
